Schedule: Tuesday Sept. 27 at Hartford Invitational, South Kent, Conn.

  • The Holy Cross men's golf team will wrap up competition at the Hartford Invitational in the afternoon on Tuesday and will then take a break in action until Oct 4. The squad will play at the Assumption Shootout on that day.
  • The Crusaders, who are in their second day of action at the Hartford Invitational, sit in last place. The squad, competing against some of the top squads in New England, such as St. John's and Boston College, combined for 323 strokes on the first day. The teams were only able to play one full round as fog delayed the tee time yesterday morning.
  • Junior Steve Zychowski (Mendham, N.J.) and freshman John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) tied for a team-low round of 80 on the first day. The 80 is eight-over-par on the par 72 course as they are both tied for 60th individually. Zychowski started with a round of 80 at the first event of the season, the Blue Devil Invitational, and then came back to tally a round of 70 as he finished in 22nd place.
