Men's Golf Places Seventh At Blue Devil Invitational

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. – The Holy Cross men's golf team placed seventh out of 12 teams with a total two-day score of 611 at the Blue Devil Invitational at the Wethersfield Country Club. Junior Steve Zychowski (Mendham, N.J.) led the Crusaders as he tied for 22nd with a two-round score of 150. His second round score of 70 was tied for the second best in the tournament on the day. Laval won the title with a total of 572. Daniel Morgan of Central Connecticut won the championship with a 142 as he won a playoff.

Senior Andrew Wong (Wailuku, Hawaii) recorded the second best performance for Holy Cross with a 153 which was tied for 27th. Sophomore Tim DiStefano (Albany, N.Y.) tied for 40th with a 156.

The Crusaders return to action when they compete at the Adams Cup on Sept. 19-20 at the Newport National Golf Club in Newport, R.I.
