Men's Golf Announces Spring Slate

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head men's golf coach Bob Molt have announced the Crusaders' 2011 spring schedule. Holy Cross is currently scheduled to compete in five events.

The Crusaders officially open the season at the George Washington Invitational, held March 18-19 at the Bear Trap Dunes Country Club in Bethany Beach, Del. The squad will then play in the Yale Spring Opener, set for April 2 at the Yale Golf Club in New Haven, Conn. The New England Division I Championship follows from April 9-10 at the Newport National Golf Club in Newport, R.I. Holy Cross rounds out the spring slate with a head-to-head match against Boston College on April 15 at the Concord Country Club in Concord, Mass., before participating in the 2011 Patriot League Championship, hosted by Navy. The Patriot League Championship will be played from April 30-May 1 at the Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.

Sophomore Steve Zychowski (Mendham, N.J.) led all Holy Cross performers during the fall season, finishing first on the team in two competitions. He enters the spring season with a team-low 74.8 strokes average.
