Crusaders Set To Complete Fall Slate This Week

Schedule: Monday-Tuesday, Oct.18-19, At NEIGA Championship, Brewster, Mass.
- The Holy Cross men's golf team completes its fall slate at the 76th annual NEIGA Championship from Oct. 18-19. The event will be held at the Captain's Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
- Holy Cross placed 11th of 39 teams at the NEIGA Championship last season. Sophomore Michael McCarthy (Tolland, Conn.) led the squad individually with a two-round mark of 150, tying for 19th. Junior Andrew Wong (Wailuku, Hawaii) also finished within the top 50 of the 191 participants, tying for 36th. Senior James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) finished tied for 45th with a 156 to round out the team's top-50 performers.
- McCarthy led the team for the first time this season after scoring a 150 in the two-day Northeast Invitational. McCarthy notched a 72 on the first day, recording a season low-round, which is one away from his career low-round of 71. Through nine rounds of play, McCarthy averages 77.3 strokes, second lowest on the team.
