Men's Golf Picked Seventh In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men’s golf team was selected to finish seventh in the 2010 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Defending Patriot League champion Bucknell was picked first, earning 69 points and nine first-place votes.

Navy followed the Bison, as they were selected to finish second with 62 points and five first-place votes. Rounding out the voting was Army (52 points), Lehigh (34), Colgate (32), Lafayette (28) and Holy Cross (17). Holy Cross has multiple players back that competed in last year's Patriot League Championship, including juniors James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) and Colin Andrade (Assonet, Mass.).  

The Crusaders will open their spring slate at the George Washington Invitational on Friday, March 19. Tee time is set for 9:00 a.m. at the Bear Trap Dunes Country Club in Bethany Beach, Del.
