WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior linebacker Anthony Campbell (New Albany, Ohio) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 10-16. Campbell helped lead the Holy Cross football team to a 27-26 victory at Lafayette on Saturday.
During the Lafayette game, Campbell recorded six total tackles, including three tackles for loss and two quarterback sacks. Both of his sacks and his other tackle for loss came on third down, forcing the Leopards to punt all three times. Campbell's three tackles for loss and two sacks were also the most by a Holy Cross player in a single game this year.
In 10 games played so far this season, including five starts, Campbell has now totaled 18 tackles and two pass breakups. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has recorded 22 total tackles.
The Crusaders (7-3 overall, 5-0 Patriot League) return to action this Saturday, Nov. 22, when they travels to Colgate (8-2 overall, 4-0 Patriot League) in a match-up for the conference title. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
