Parking Update For Holy Cross-Colgate Football Game

Oct. 21, 2005

Holy Cross Physical Plant and Athletic Department personnel inspected the grass fields on Friday morning. Although it's been dry for most of the week, the effect of 14" of rain last weekend is still being felt, particularly on the baseball field. We've determined that were we to allow parking on the baseball field for this weekend's game, we run the risk of doing serious damage to the field. Accordingly, the baseball field will be closed for parking. However, you will be able to park on Freshmen Field. While the baseball field cannot accommodate vehicle traffic, we have determined that foot traffic is not likely to damage the field. See below for Interactive End Zone.

The parking arrangements for the Colgate football game are as follows:

Handicapped parkers: Please enter through the normal gate to the baseball field. There will be specific areas where handicapped parking will be provided.

Season Ticket Holders: Season ticket holders will have the option of parking in the parking garage or on Freshmen Field. An area of Freshmen Field closest to Fitton Field will be cordoned off and you will be able to gain access to this season ticket area using your parking passes.

General Parking: General parking will be available on Freshmen Field and the Hogan lots.

Interactive End Zone:The interactive end zone will be set up on the warning track area of the baseball field.
