WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross junior quarterback Dominic Randolph (Amelia, Ohio) has been named the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week, for his performance in Saturday's 31-28 victory over Harvard. He set a new career-high with 372 yards of total offense against the Crimson, while leading the Crusaders to their first victory over Harvard since 2000. Earlier this week, Randolph earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors.
In the Harvard game, Randolph connected on 29 of 55 attempts for 339 yards and four touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 33 yards. With 19 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, he tossed a 40-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Thomas Harrison (Wilmington, N.C.) to bring the Crusaders back for the victory, capping a six-play, 77-yard drive. Randolph competed four of six pass attempts during that game-winning drive, which Holy Cross began with 1:19 left in the game, and with no timeouts remaining.
On the season, Randolph has now connected on 61 of 117 attempts for 635 yards and six touchdowns with just one interception. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has hit on 245 of 416 passes for 2,872 yards and 25 scores.
Holy Cross (1-1 overall, 0-0 Patriot League) returns to action this Saturday, Sept. 22, when it plays host to Georgetown (0-3 overall, 0-1 Patriot League) in its Patriot League opener at 1:00 p.m.
