WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman tailback Terrance Gass (Sicklerville, N.J.) has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for games of Sept. 10, it was announced by the conference office. On Saturday, Gass rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, while helping Holy Cross to a 48-6 victory over Georgetown at Fitton Field.
In the game against the Hoyas, Gass had eight carries for 56 yards, including rushes of 14 and 11 yards during a 12-play, 80-yard scoring drive in the fourth quarter. Gass concluded that drive by scoring the touchdown from one yard out. On the season, he has now carried 15 times for 74 yards and a score, while averaging 4.9 yards per rush.
Holy Cross (2-0 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) returns to action this Saturday, Sept. 17, when it plays host to Harvard in a 1:00 p.m. game at Fitton Field. The Crimson will be playing its season opener, after posting a perfect 10-0 record last year.
