The offense was able to total exactly 300 yards on 66 plays from scrimmage, good for an average of 4.5 yards per play. The defense forced a pair of turnovers on the day, recording two interceptions.

Senior tailback Steve Silva (East Providence, R.I.) scored the first touchdown of the game on a four-yard rush. He hit senior wide receiver Bob Turkovich (Bedford, Pa.) with a 40-yard strike, then connected with senior tight end Matt Lane (Marlboro, Mass.) on a 24-yard touchdown pass. Both Turkovich and Lane finished the game with three receptions, as Turkovich totaled 59 yards and Lane had 33 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, junior linebacker Jesse Loubier (Winthrop, Mass.) had a team high 10 tackles, including one sack. Junior linebacker Dan Adams (Springfield, Va.) ranked second on the squad with five tackles, while senior defensive back Kevin Dunn (Gaithersburg, Md.) and sophomore defensive back Kent Flanders (Atlanta, Ga.) both had interceptions.
