Holy Cross Football Set To Start Spring Practice

March 22, 2006

The Holy Cross football team is scheduled to hold its first spring practice session of 2006 on Wednesday, March 22, at 7:00 p.m. The Crusaders are coming off a 2005 season in which they posted an overall record of 6-5, and placed fourth in the Patriot League with a 3-3 mark in conference games. Holy Cross returns 13 starters off last year's squad, including eight of 11 starters on the defensive side of the ball. Among the returnees are four players who have earned All-Patriot League honors during their careers: senior placekicker Mike DeSantis (Belle Mead, N.J.), senior cornerback Casey Gough (Hinsdale, Ill.), senior punter Ryan McManaway (Ferdinand, Ind.) and senior offensive lineman Andrew Schoepfer (Waterford, Conn.).
