Pete Leonard is in his first year on the Holy Cross coaching staff in 2008, serving as the assistant secondary coach. Leonard comes to Holy Cross after spending the last six seasons on the coaching staff at Assumption College. For the last four years, Leonard served as the Greyhounds' defensive coordinator and secondary coach. In addition to his duties running the defense, he was also heavily involved with recruiting, academic advising and assisting with the team's strength and conditioning program. Leonard began his career at Assumption as a graduate assistant coach in 2002, then served as linebackers coach in 2003, before being promoted to defensive coordinator. Leonard earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Assumption in 2001, and went on to receive a master's degree in business administration in 2004.
