Ten Football Players Selected To Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas – Ten graduating seniors from the 2013 Holy Cross football team have been selected to the 2014 Hampshire Honor Society, as announced by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. The team is comprised of graduating seniors from schools across the country who were starters or key reserves and maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20. A total of 838 players from 267 schools across the nation were selected to this year's Honor Society.

The Holy Cross players to be honored were senior linebacker Pete Anastasio (Camp Hill, Pa.), senior defensive lineman Jack Daly (Hopkinton, Mass.), senior wide receiver Mike Fess (Caldwell, N.J.), senior defensive back Philip Gough (Hinsdale, Ill.), senior tight end Max Librizzi (Essex Junction, Vt.), senior placekicker / punter John Macomber (Vienna, Va.), senior linebacker Scotty O'Donoghue (Tampa, Fla.), senior wide receiver Jon Smith (Matawan, N.J.), senior linebacker Mike Tucker (Chester Springs, Pa.) and senior defensive back Andrew Zitnik (Warren, Ohio).

Holy Cross concluded the 2013 season with an overall record of 3-9 and a 1-4 mark in the Patriot League.
