WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head football coach Tom Gilmore and athletic director Nathan Pine have announced the 2014 schedule for the Crusaders. For the second straight season and only the fourth time in school history, Holy Cross is scheduled to play 12 regular season games. The slate also features five home games, and six contests against schools which posted winning records in 2013.
Season tickets for the Crusaders' five home games are now on sale through the Holy Cross ticket office, and can be purchased by calling (508) 793-2573 or by using the order form available on the internet at www.GoHolyCross.com. Season tickets are priced at $60.00 for adults, $35.00 for both senior citizens (62 and over) and Holy Cross faculty and staff, and $20.00 for youth (under 18). In addition, recent Holy Cross graduates (classes of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014) and first-time season ticket buyers living in the city of Worcester can purchase tickets for $35.00.
The Crusaders begin the season at Albany on Aug. 30, before playing home contests against Morgan State (Sept. 6) and Central Connecticut (Sept. 13). Holy Cross will next travel to Harvard on Sept. 19, and then play host to Fordham in its Patriot League opener as part of Homecoming Weekend on Sept. 27.
The Crusaders play the first of four straight road games at Colgate on Oct. 4, followed by contests at Brown (Oct. 11), at Dartmouth (Oct. 18) and at Lafayette (Oct. 25). Holy Cross will then wrap up the home portion of its schedule with games against Lehigh (Nov. 8) and Bucknell (Nov. 15). The Crusaders wrap up the 2014 slate at Georgetown on Nov. 22.
The Crusaders are currently taking part in spring practice, with the annual spring game set for Saturday, April 12.
