Football Team Set To Start Spring Practice
WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team is scheduled to hold its first spring practice session of 2013 on Saturday, March 16, at 8:00 a.m. The Crusaders are coming off an injury plagued 2012 season in which they posted an overall record of 2-9 and a 2-4 mark against Patriot League foes.
Holy Cross returns nine defensive starters and six offensive starters off last year's squad. Among the returnees are five players who have earned All-Patriot League honors during their collegiate careers: senior defensive lineman Gary Acquah (Bronx, N.Y.), senior wide receiver Mike Fess (Caldwell, N.J.), senior placekicker / punter John Macomber (Vienna, Va.), sophomore wide receiver Kalif Raymond (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and senior linebacker Mike Tucker (Chester Springs, Pa.).
