Kalif Raymond

WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman return specialist Kalif Raymond (Lawrenceville, Ga.), a member of the Holy Cross football team, has been selected to the 2012 College Sports Journal National All-Freshman team. Raymond was one of only two players from both the Patriot League and the New England region to be named to the squad.

He brought back 32 kickoffs for 777 yards and a touchdown, in addition to returning 19 punts for 101 yards. Raymond led the team with 878 all-purpose yards on the season, while ranking first in the Patriot League and 35th in the nation with an average of 24.3 yards per kickoff return. He finished the year in second place on the all-time Holy Cross single-season lists for both kickoff returns and kickoff return yards.

Holy Cross concluded the 2012 season with an overall record of 2-9, and tied for third in the Patriot League with a 2-3 mark in conference games.
