WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior wide receiver Gerald Mistretta (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 12-18. Mistretta helped lead the Holy Cross football team to a 24-0 victory over Georgetown on Saturday.
During the victory over the Hoyas, Mistretta scored all three of the Crusaders' touchdowns. He caught five passes for 78 yards and two scores, while rushing twice for four yards and a touchdowns. Mistretta also returned one kickoff for 11 yards, to finish the game with 93 all-purpose yards.
On the season, Mistretta ranked second on the team in receiving with 54 catches for 669 yards and eight touchdowns. He led the team in scoring with 56 points, and ranked third on the squad with 719 all-purpose yards. Over the last four years, Mistretta totaled 148 receptions for 1,897 yards and 18 scores. He finished his collegiate career ranked third all-time at Holy Cross in touchdown catches, while standing fifth in both receptions and receiving yards.
Holy Cross concluded the 2012 season with an overall record of 2-9, and tied for third in the Patriot League with a 2-3 mark in conference games.
