
2012 TEAM CAPTAIN
AS A JUNIOR IN 2011:
• Started all 11 games at strong safety.
• Named second team All-Patriot League and Academic
All-Patriot League.
• Ranked second on the team with 87 tackles, to go along with
an interception, a sack, three forced fumbles and 10 pass
breakups.
• Led the team in tackles four times on the season, while
reaching double-figures in tackles four times.
• Placed second in the Patriot League in forced fumbles,
fourth in passes defended and eighth in total tackles.
• Finished the season ranked 20th in the nation in solo
tackles, 28th in forced fumbles and 34th in passes defended.
• Led the team with a season-high 12 total tackles during the
contest at Lehigh, while also forcing a fumble.
• Had a team-best 11 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass
breakup against Massachusetts.
• Posted a team-high 10 total tackles and a sack in the win
over Colgate.
• Totaled nine tackles and a pass breakup in the win at
Fordham.
• Recorded a team-best eight tackles and an interception
during the victory over Dartmouth, to earn AT&T Crusader of the
Week honors.
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2010:
• Played in all 11 games with three starts, seeing time at
both cornerback and safety.
• Ranked seventh on the team with 42 total tackles, including
34 solo stops.
• Also had a team-best six pass breakups, one interception
and one forced fumble.
• Finished the season sixth in the Patriot League in passes
defended and 49th in total tackles.
• Recorded season-highs of seven tackles and two pass
breakups in the victory over Howard.
• Totaled two tackles, an interception and a pass breakup at
Dartmouth.
• Made four solo tackles and forced a fumble in the victory
at Colgate.
• Registered six solo tackles against both Georgetown and
Harvard.
• Had five solo tackles and a pass breakup in the win over
Fordham.
• Selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009:
• Played in all 12 games, on special teams and as a reserve
defensive back.
• Totaled nine tackles on the season.
• Registered a season-high three solo tackles against
Dartmouth.
• Recorded two tackles at Brown.
• Also had tackles against Bucknell, Lafayette, Sacred Heart
and Villanova.
HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played for head coach Scott Miller at Brearley High
School.
• Recorded 78 tackles, eight pass breakups and two
interceptions during his senior season.
• Finished his career with a school-record 259 total tackles,
15 pass breakups, eight fumble recoveries, seven interceptions and
four forced fumbles.
• Also played quarterback, accounting for 3,111 yards of
total offense and 41 touchdowns during his career.
• Earned third team All-State honors from the Newark Star
Ledger in 2008, while twice being named Group I All-State.
• A three-time All-Mountain Valley Conference selection.
• Twice named first team All-Union County by the Newark
Star Ledger.
• Led team to a four-year record of 39-5, three Mountain
Valley Conference titles and the 2006 state championship.
• Named his team’s Defensive MVP at the 2009 New Jersey
North-South All-Star Classic.
• Also lettered in baseball, basketball and wrestling at
Brearley.
• Member of National Honor Society.
PERSONAL:
• Son of Tom and JoAnn Mannix.
• Has three sisters (Colleen, Kerry and Erin).
• Sister, Erin, is a 2005 Holy Cross graduate.
• Majoring in Political Science.
