Nick Lezynski Named Assistant Secondary Coach
WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross football team has named Nick Lezynski its new assistant secondary coach, as announced by head coach Tom Gilmore.
Lezynski was a four-year walk-on member of the football team at the University of Notre Dame from 2008-2011, playing both quarterback and defensive back. He earned two varsity letters for the Irish, and also served as the president of the Walk-On Players' Union for two years.
Off the field, Lezynski served as an event marketing and ticketing intern for the Notre Dame athletic department. He also spent time with the College Football Hall of Fame as a marketing assistant and event sales director, and served as a coach and counselor for the football camp at Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, N.J.
Lezynski earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Notre Dame in 2011.
The Crusaders are scheduled to open the 2012 season when they play host to New Hampshire on Thursday, Aug. 30, in only the second night game ever at Fitton Field.
