Holy Cross-UMass Game To Be Shown On CBS Sports Network

WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross has announced that its 2011 season-opening football game against the University of Massachusetts will be shown live on the CBS Sports Network, as part of the Patriot League television package. The contest between the Crusaders and the Minutemen will kick off at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1.

The Holy Cross-UMass clash will mark the first-ever night game in the history of Fitton Field. In addition, the second class in the Crusader Football Legends Ring of Fame will be recognized that night. George Connor (Class of ex1946), Bruce Kozerski (Class of 1984), Jon Morris (Class of 1964) and Joe Wilson (Class of 1973) will all be honored in a pregame ceremony.

Tickets for the contest and Holy Cross season tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, June 29.
