Crusaders Add Three To Defensive Coaching Staff

WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross football team has named Tom Radulski linebackers coach, Antoine Smith defensive line coach and Josh Reardon outside linebackers coach, as announced by head coach Tom Gilmore. With the additions of Radulski, Smith and Reardon, the Crusader coaching staff for the 2011 season is now complete.

Radulski comes to Holy Cross from Bowdoin College, where he served as the defensive coordinator for the last 11 seasons. He coached both the linebackers and the secondary during his time with the Polar Bears, in addition to serving as the team's director of football operations. Prior to his time at Bowdoin, Radulski served as the head coach at Sacred Heart from 1997-1999. He was previously the head coach at UMass-Lowell from 1993-1996, and was the defensive coordinator at Columbia from 1989-1992. Radulski's other coaching stops include time at Allegheny College, Colby College, Hamilton College and New Hampshire.

Smith joins the Crusaders after spending the last two seasons as the defensive line coach at Miami (Ohio) University. He helped lead the RedHawks to the 2010 Mid-American Conference title, and a victory in the 2011 Bowl. Prior to his time at Miami (Ohio), Smith served as the defensive line coach at Youngstown State from 2006-2008, with the Penguins winning the 2006 Gateway Conference championship and advancing to the NCAA semifinals. He was previously the defensive line coach at Lafayette from 2004-2005, helping the Leopards to a pair of Patriot League co-championships and two NCAA playoff appearances. Smith also spent time as an assistant coach at Maine and Minot State.

Reardon comes to Holy Cross from Sacred Heart, where he was the team's defensive coordinator during the 2010 season. He previously served as the Pioneers' secondary coach in 2009 and defensive line coach in 2008. Reardon also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Central Michigan from 2006-2007, assisting with the defensive line and the inside linebackers.

The Crusaders are currently taking part in spring practice, and will play their annual spring game on Saturday, April 16.
