Ohimor & Santana To Play In FCS Senior Scout Bowl

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior defensive end Mude Ohimor (Stoughton, Mass.) and senior wide receiver Freddie Santana (Staten Island, N.Y.), members of the Holy Cross football team, have been invited to play in the 2010 FCS Senior Scout Bowl. A postseason all-star game showcasing the talent of senior players from the NCAA football championship subdivision, the FCS Senior Scout Bowl will be played on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Faller Field in Middletown, N.Y. The game will be shown live to a national audience on Fox College Sports Pacific, with kickoff set for 2:00 p.m.

Ohimor earned second team All-Patriot League honors this year, after being a first team all-conference selection last season. He started all 11 games for the Crusaders at defensive end in 2010, totaling 34 tackles with 28 solo stops and four quarterback sacks. Ohimor also recorded two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked extra point this year. He finished the season ranked fourth in the Patriot League in fumbles recovered and 12th in quarterback sacks. Over the course of his collegiate career, Ohimor totaled 93 tackles, 11 quarterback sacks and 16 tackles for loss in 43 games played.

Santana earned All-Patriot League honors for the second straight season, after being a second team selection in 2009. He was honored as both a wide receiver and as a return specialist this year, after playing in all 11 games with 10 starts. Santana ranked third on the team with 39 receptions for 482 yards and six touchdowns on the season, while returning 16 punts for 268 yards and a score. Santana led the conference and ranked fourth in the nation in punt returns, in addition to standing eighth in the Patriot League in all-purpose yards and ninth in receiving yards. Over the course of his collegiate career, he totaled 112 catches for 1,393 yards and 17 touchdowns in 35 games played. Santana ranks sixth all-time at Holy Cross in career touchdown receptions.
