WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior linebacker Sean Lamkin (Jenks, Okla.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from August 31-September 6. Lamkin led the Holy Cross football team to a 20-7 victory over Georgetown in its opening game of the season.
During Saturday's win over the Hoyas, Lamkin totaled seven tackles with one tackle for loss and his first career interception. He was the leader of a defense which allowed only seven points, seven first downs and 169 total yards on the day. After the Hoyas scored a touchdown on their opening possession, Holy Cross held Georgetown to just 104 total yards and no points over the final 55:50 of play.
Over the course of his collegiate career, Lamkin has now totaled 102 tackles with 11 tackles for loss.
The 25th-ranked Crusaders (1-0 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, September 12, when they play host to Sacred Heart at 1:00 p.m.
