WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman forward Colin Cunningham (Memphis, Tenn.) has been named the Patriot League Anaconda Rookie of the Week, for games from Nov. 28-Dec. 4. Cunningham averaged 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds over three games last week, while hitting 45.2 percent of his field goal attempts (14 of 31) and 40.0 percent from three-point range (four of 10).
In the Crusaders' 71-63 double overtime victory over Fordham on Dec. 4, Cunningham totaled 15 points, four rebounds and two assists. He scored all five of Holy Cross' points in the last 10 seconds of regulation with a three-pointer and a layup, as the Crusaders rallied from a 55-50 deficit to force overtime.
Cunningham also played well in the 68-63 loss at Siena on Dec. 1, posting career highs with 16 points scored and nine rebounds. In addition, he had five points, two rebounds and two steals in the 68-64 loss at Vermont on Nov. 28.
In four games played so far this season (including two starts), Cunningham is averaging 10.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest
Holy Cross (3-4 overall) returns to action this Wednesday, Dec. 7, when it plays host to Brown in an 8:30 p.m. game at the Hart Center.
