WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., has announced the broadcast schedule for Crusader men's and women's basketball for the 2007-2008 season.
The teams will have 33 regular season games broadcast this year by WTAG 580-AM, the Crusaders' radio home for the last seven years. Additional games will be broadcast directly to the internet, via Sports Juice. All broadcasted games will also be available free of charge on the internet through Sports Juice.
Broadcasting duties will once again be handled by Bob Fourace, now in his 19th year of calling Crusader games on the radio. Jeremy Lechan and Dick Lutsk will also return to the Holy Cross broadcasting team this year, sharing the microphone with Fouracre on a number of games and handing the play-by-play duties themselves at others.
The men's basketball team will have 15 games on WTAG, beginning with the November 13 game at Fairfield. Two other men's contests - against Bucknell on Jan. 18 and at Lehigh on Feb. 29 - will be joined in progress on WTAG. In addition, 13 men's games will be broadcast directly to the internet.
The women's team will have 16 of its games on WTAG this year, starting with the season opener against Vermont on November 11. Eleven other women's contests will be broadcast directly to the internet.
The broadcast schedule for the Patriot League tournament will be announced when pairings and schedules are finalized.
For more than 80 years, NewsTalk 580 WTAG has been serving Central Massachusetts. In addition to Holy Cross football and basketball, WTAG is the home of the Worcester Sharks and the Worcester Tornadoes.
