Holy Cross Names Mark Daigneault Assistant Basketball Coach

WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has named Mark Daigneault an assistant men's basketball coach, as announced by head coach Ralph Willard. Daigneault's primary responsibilities will include underclassman and on-campus recruiting, film exchange, camp coordination and opponent scouting. He will also be involved in academic advising, game preparation and player development, and supervising the team's student managers.

Daigneault comes to Holy Cross from the University of Connecticut, where he served as an undergraduate assistant coach during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons. He assisted in all areas of the program at Connecticut, including individual workouts, film breakdown and opponent scouting reports. Daigneault was also a co-director of the Jim Calhoun Basketball Camp from 2005-2007.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in education, Daigneault resides in Leominster, Mass. He graduated from Leominster High School in 2003.

The Crusaders finished the 2006-2007 season with an overall record of 25-9, won the Patriot League regular season and tournament titles, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last seven years.
