Pairings Set For 2008 Patriot League Basketball Tournaments

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Patriot League has announced the pairings for the 2008 conference men's and women's basketball tournaments. The Holy Cross men will open play with a quarterfinal game at American on Wednesday, March 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Crusader women will take on Navy, in a contest which will be played in West Point, N.Y., on Saturday, March 8, at 5:00 p.m.

For the men's basketball game at American, Holy Cross will have an allocation of tickets available to Crusader fans. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets through Holy Cross should contact the Ticket Office at (508) 793-2573 after 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning (March 3).

The Holy Cross women are the second-seed in the tournament, and could potentially host the league championship game on Wednesday, March 12. If the Crusaders should win their quarterfinal and semifinal games, they would be at home against any opponent except top-seeded American. The Holy Cross men are seeded eighth in the tournament, and will play all of their postseason games on the road.
