Hamilton Named Patriot League Player Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior guard Kevin Hamilton (Queens Village, N.Y.), a member of the Holy Cross men's basketball team, has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week for games from Feb. 7-13. This marks the second time this season Hamilton has received the award, as he was previously honored on Jan. 31.
Hamilton averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game last week, as the Crusaders posted a pair of victories over Lafayette (81-60 on Feb. 11) and Lehigh (73-53 on Feb. 13). In the Lafayette game, Hamilton totaled 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals. Then, against Lehigh, he recorded 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. Hamilton shot 52.0 percent from the field (13 of 25), 55.6 percent from three-point range (five of nine) and 71.4 percent on the free throw line (five of seven) over the course of the two games.
On the season, Hamilton is averaging 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 3.1 assists per game. Holy Cross has an overall record of 19-5 overall on the year, stands in first place in the Patriot League with a 10-1 mark in conference games, and currently has an 11-game winning streak. The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Feb. 19, when they travel to Colgate (11-13 overall, 6-5 Patriot League) for a 3:00 p.m. game.
