Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. announced today that the men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Bucknell University on Saturday February 11 is officially sold out.
The women's game will tip off at 1:00 p.m., while the men's game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Both games should be crucial in determining the top two seeds in the Patriot League tournament in March. The League's playoff format allows the top two teams to host both a quarterfinal and semifinal game, which underscores the importance of these games. The League championship game is held at the home of the highest remaining seed.
Holy Cross hosted both the men's and women's championship games last season.
The men's game features a rematch of last season's Patriot League championship game. Both the Crusaders and Bison went on to post the first-ever post-season victories for the League, as the Crusaders defeated Notre Dame in the NIT, and Bucknell upset Kansas in the NCAA tournament.
There is no television for either game, but both games can be heard locally on WTAG radio, and on the internet through sportsjuice.com.
