BRONX, N.Y . - Junior guard Kevin Hamilton (Queens Village, N.Y.) scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half and Holy Cross held Fordham scoreless for over five minutes last in the game during a 53-39 victory at Rose Hill Gymnasium on Monday night.
Sophomore guard Torey Thomas (White Plains, N.Y.) added 10 points for the Crusaders (4-2), who had lost two in a row.
Mushon Ya'Akosi and Jermaine Anderson each had nine points for the Rams (2-3).
Bryant Dunston made two free throws to get Fordham within 35-34 with 5:43 to play. Hamilton then had eight points in the Crusaders' 18-5 run to close the game.
Dominic Osei's dunk broke a 17-17 tie with 1:29 left in the first half and John Hurley made a free throw with 1 second to play to get the Crusaders within 19-18.
The Crusaders return to action on Thursday, Dec. 9, when they play a 7:30 p.m. game at Boston College.
