Mark Daigneault is in his third season as an assistant men's basketball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2009-2010. Daigneault's primary responsibilities include film exchange, camp coordination and opponent scouting. He is also involved in academic advising, game preparation and player development.
Holy Cross has an overall record of 33-28 during Daigneault's first two seasons on the staff, posting a winning record each year. During the 2008-2009, he helped Holy Cross to a second place finish in the Patriot League.
Daigneault came to Holy Cross from the University of Connecticut, where he served as an undergraduate assistant coach during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons, under coach Jim Calhoun and former Holy Cross coach George Blaney. He assisted in all areas of the program at Connecticut, including individual workouts, film breakdown and opponent scouting reports. Daigneault was also a co-director of the Jim Calhoun Basketball Camp from 2005-2007.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in education, Daigneault resides in Leominster, Mass., where he graduated from Leominster High School in 2003. Daigneault's father, Rick, is a 1980 graduate of Holy Cross, and was a member of the Crusader baseball team.
