Hamilton Named Patriot League Rookie Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman guard Cullen Hamilton (Washington, D.C.) has been named the Patriot League Anaconda Rookie of the Week, for competition from Feb. 18-24. He averaged 14.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of contests for the Crusaders last week. This marks the second time this season Hamilton has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
During Wednesday night's 79-76 loss to Lafayette, Hamilton scored a career-high 18 points and tied his career-high by pulling down seven rebounds. He then added 10 points and four rebounds in Sunday's 74-57 loss at Bucknell. Over the course of the two games, Hamilton made 55.6 percent of his field goal attempts (10 of 18), 50.0 percent of his shots from three-point field range (six of 12) and 100.0 percent of his free throws (two of two).
In 27 games played this season, Hamilton is averaging 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest, while scoring in double-figures six times.
Holy Cross (11-16 overall, 3-9 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 27, when it travels to Army for a 7:00 p.m. game.
