Holy Cross Signs Four To National Letters Of Intent

Head Coach Milan Brown

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head men's basketball coach Milan Brown has announced that four student-athletes have signed national letters of intent to play for the Crusaders. Isaiah Baker (Wyncotte, Pa.), Eric Green (Tracy, Calif.), Cullen Hamilton (Washington, D.C.) and Chris Morgan (Gloucester, Va.) will join the Holy Cross program in the fall of 2012.

"We are really excited to have this outstanding group of young men sign with our program," said Brown. "They are going to bring talent, size and speed to our team, while adding to the quality of our depth. They are a great group to add to current players who are already in our program, and we look forward to having them join us next year."

Baker is a 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward, who plays for head coach Andre Brown at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. He earned honorable mention All-Main Line honors in 2011, after averaging 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Baker previously attended Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, Pa., where he earned second team All-Main Line honors in 2010.

Brown on Baker: "Isaiah is going to give us a big body inside, but he also has the ability to step out and shoot the ball. He is a tireless worker, and we think he will fit right in with our other post players and be able to learn from them. We are excited to add a guy with his size and his skill set."

Green is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard / forward, who plays for head coach Dave Lubick at St. Mark's School in Southborough, Mass. He earned first team All-Independent School League honors in 2011, while averaging 12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game. Green previously earned first team All Tri-City Athletic League honors in 2009, while playing at West High School in Tracy, Calif.

Brown on Green: "Eric comes from an outstanding program at St. Mark's. He is a super athlete who is going to be able to make some plays above the rim. He is also known as one of the best perimeter defenders throughout the prep schools in New England, and we look forward to having someone with his length and athleticism on the defensive end."

Hamilton is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, who plays for head coach Levi Franklin at the Potomac School in McLean, Va. He earned fourth team All-Metropolitan honors from the Washington Post as a junior, after averaging 22.0 points per game. Hamilton was previously named to the 2010 honorable mention Virginia Independent Schools All-State team.

Brown on Hamilton: "Cullen is a great scorer, who can make plays off the dribble and hit shots from the perimeter. He also has an understanding of how to score without taking an abundance of shots. Based on the league that he plays in, we expect him to be well equipped to come in and contribute right away."

Morgan is a 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward, who plays for head coach Christopher Morgan (no relation) at Gloucester High School. He averaged 12.4 points per game during his junior year, and also played AAU ball in the Boo Williams Summer League.

Brown on Morgan: "Chris will bring some athleticism for us at the power forward spot. He is going to be able to make some plays above the rim, and can be a strong shot blocker. He also has the ability to guard most small forwards, so with him on the court we will not have to adjust when other teams play small."
