WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior guard Devin Brown (Baltimore, Md.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 7-13. Brown averaged 22.0 points per contest last week, as the Holy Cross men's basketball team split a pair of games.
During Wednesday night's 85-75 victory over Army, Brown led the team with 24 points, four rebounds and three assists. Then in Saturday's narrow 60-56 loss to Bucknell, he scored a game-high 20 points. Brown hit 53.6 percent of his field goal attempts on the week, in addition to connecting on 83.3 percent of his foul shots.
In 24 games played this year, Brown has averaged a team-best 14.6 points per contest, while hitting 34.1 percent (45 of 132) of his three-point attempts and 82.4 percent (84 of 102) of his free throws. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has now totaled 911 points, 165 rebounds and 105 assists, while connecting on 37.3 percent of his three-point field goal attempts (121 of 324) and 82.0 percent of his free throws (242 of 295).
The Crusaders (5-19 overall, 4-6 Patriot League) return to action this Wednesday, Feb. 16, when they play host to Navy at 7:00 p.m.
