WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior center Andrew Keister (Galloway, N.J.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 13-19. Keister led the Holy Cross men's basketball team to a 75-57 victory at Marist in its only game last week.
During Sunday's victory over the Red Foxes, Keister scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds. He hit four of 11 shots from the field and eight of 11 free throw attempts on the day. Keister scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half, as Holy Cross built a 35-27 halftime lead.
On the season, Keister is now averaging 11.2 points and a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game, while hitting 50.0 percent (40 of 80) of his shots from the floor. Over the course of his collegiate career, he has now totaled 710 points and 580 rebounds, while making 51.9 percent (289 of 557) of his field goal attempts and posting 22 double-doubles.
The Crusaders (1-8 overall) return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 22, when they travel to Hofstra for a 7:00 p.m. game.
