WORCESTER, Mass. - Nine members of the Holy Cross baseball team have been selected to the 2007 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, including senior Andrew Tenaglia (Duxbury, Mass.) who had a perfect 4.00 grade point average during the spring semester.
Seniors Kevin Beglane (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Norm Roth (Orange, Conn.) also earned a spot on the honor roll, as this is Beglane's fourth appearance and Roth's third. The other members of the team are senior Rob Oteri (Sudbury, Mass.), junior Gil Gomez (Lake Worth, Fla.), junior Matt O'Brien (Hingham, Mass.), junior Tim Thran (Fall River, Mass.), sophomore Billy Cupelo (Franklin, Mass.) and freshman Matt Perry (Sudbury, Mass.).
A total of 51 student-athletes from baseball teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
