Hampe Named A National Player Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross senior pitcher Scott Hampe (Dedham, Mass.) has been named a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week for throwing his first collegiate no-hitter in the 4-0 seven-inning victory over Lehigh on Saturday, April 7, announced today by Collegiate Baseball. The no-hitter is the 10th in Holy Cross history.

Hampe was outstanding as he pitched seven no-hit innings with four strikeouts. He is now 2-1 on the season with a team-leading 2.25 ERA.

The Crusaders return to action on Tuesday, April 10, when they travel to Brookline, Mass., to take on Northeastern at 3:00 p.m.
