Baseball Has Eight Named To Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. – Eight members of the Holy Cross baseball team earned a spot on the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office.

Senior Nate Walker (San Diego, Calif.), juniors Evan Ocello (Camarillo, Calif.) and Jack St. Clair (Newton, Mass.) and sophomores Sean Gustin (Stoneham, Mass.) and Shane Sandoval (Westerly, R.I.) were all named to the Academic Honor Roll for the second time in their careers. Sandoval boasted the highest GPA on the team with a 3.85 grade-point average.

First time members selected to the honor roll were freshmen Zach Fox (Los Gatos, Calif.), Chris Minteer (Lake Tapps, Wash.) and Ben White (Holden, Mass.).

A total of 60 student-athletes from baseball teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
