WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross 2014 graduate Brandon Cipolla (Abington, Mass.) will compete in the 40th annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Joe Walsh All-Star game, which will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1 at LaLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. The University Division All-Stars, comprised of New England's top Division I players, will take on the College Division All-Stars, which will be represented by the region's best Division II players and top Division III seniors.
Cipolla, who was named second team All-Patriot League and third team All-New England, was the starting center fielder in all 44 games this season for Holy Cross. He posted a .301 batting average with 49 hits, 29 runs, 13 doubles, four home runs and 28 runs batted in. Cipolla led the Patriot League in doubles, while he ranked second in home runs and slugging percentage (.466), and third in RBIs. On Feb. 25, he was named Patriot League Player of the Week after he went 7-for-15 in the four-game series split at Mississippi State.
