WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross baseball team, in partnership with the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital's Home Base Program, will host Military Appreciation Day on April 19, 2014. The Crusaders will wear commemorative jerseys in their doubleheader versus Army at 2:00 p.m.
These jerseys, shown in the picture on the right, will be auctioned off at a minimum price of $100 after the games. Production cost for each jersey is $60, with every dollar donated above that mark benefiting the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital's Home Base Program. The Home Base Program helps Iraq and Afghanistan veterans (and their families) heal from the invisible wounds of war – post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury (TBI) – through clinical care, community education and research.
If you cannot attend the game, or do not wish to purchase a jersey, please consider making a gift in honor of our service members. Click here to visit the Holy Cross baseball military appreciation page to make a donation to the cause.
