Tom Marra Earns Second Annual Perry-Conlon Award
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior right-handed pitcher Tom Marra (Sea Cliff, N.Y.) received the second annual Perry-Conlon Award. Created by their former teammate Rick DeAngelis (Class of 1970), the Ronald S. Perry and James T. Conlon Award is presented annually to the most outstanding pitcher on the Holy Cross baseball team.
Marra appeared in 13 games this season and made 12 starts on the mound. He went 4-5 on the year with a 5.28 ERA in 61.1 innings pitched. Marra tossed back-to-back complete game shutouts versus Lafayette and Navy this season en route to throwing 20.0 scoreless innings in a row. He was named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week on April 15, 2013.
During his four years at Holy Cross, Marra went 10-11 with a 5.34 ERA in 183.2 innings pitched. He appeared in 53 games and started in 28 contests. He struck out 117 batters in his career and had six complete games.
