WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior first baseman/catcher Jordan Enos (Stockton, Calif.) has been selected to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. This is the first time Enos has been selected as a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. He was part of District 1, which comprises of schools from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Enos is a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and was also part of the Academic All-Patriot League Team in 2012. He was named to the second team All-Patriot League in 2012 and was a member of the 2013 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. Enos was also one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award this year.
In 2013, Enos ranks second on Holy Cross and third in the Patriot League with a .341 batting average. He is tied for first in the conference with 18 doubles and is third in the league with 32 RBIs. He also has 56 hits, two home runs and sports a .488 slugging percentage. A career .326 hitter, Enos has set career highs this season in hits, doubles and RBIs. He is in ninth place in the Holy Cross record book with 32 career doubles and is three doubles away from tying the single-season mark of 21.
Enos holds a 3.65 GPA and will graduate with a mathematics degree this May. He will now go on to the Capital One Academic All-American team ballot, where first, second and third team members will be selected later this month.
Holy Cross will play a non-conference game on Saturday, May 4 when it will face Anna Maria at Fitton Field with the first pitch set for 12:00 p.m.
