Donny Murray Receives Ron Soucie Award

WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman right-handed pitcher Donny Murray (Walpole, Mass.) has been named the 2012 recipient of the Ron Soucie Award. Created by his former teammates Rick DeAngelis (Class of 1970) and Tom Kelly (Class of 1967), the Soucie Award is presented annually to the Rookie of the Year on the Holy Cross baseball team.

Currently during the 2012 season, Murray has made 12 appearances on the mound for the Crusaders, including three starts. He holds an unblemished 3-0 record and a 3.44 ERA. In 36.2 innings pitched thus far, Murray has struck out 29 batters and earned one save. He also combined for one shut out and has walked just six batters.
