WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior left-handed pitcher Nate Koneski (North Dighton, Mass.) has been named the 2012 recipient of the Ronald S. Perry-James T. Conlon Award. Created by his former teammates Rick DeAngelis (Class of 1970), the Perry-Conlon Award, established this season, will be presented annually to the most outstanding pitcher on the Holy Cross baseball team.
Koneski has made 47 career appearances, including 36 career starts on the mound for the Crusaders. He was a second team All-Patriot league selection as a sophomore and earned the Cape Cod summer league's Top New England Prospect honor this past summer. Currently, Koneski leads the team and Patriot League with 61 strikeouts and has 276 in his career, ranking second all-time in program history.
He boasts a 2.77 ERA this season, second lowest on the team and fourth lowest in the conference. He currently holds a 5-2 record and has won a total of 15 games in his career. His five wins this season tie for third in the Patriot League. He has also combined for three shut outs and has pitched six complete games in his career.
