CAPE COD, Mass. – Holy Cross senior pitcher Nate Koneski (North Dighton, Mass.) was named the Cape Cod Baseball League's New England Player of the Year given to the top New England prospect.
This season as a member of the Falmouth Commodores, Koneski has appeared in 13 games with a 1.03 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 26.1 innings. This is Koneski's third season playing with the Commodores. Last season he made eight appearances and pitched 17.1 innings with a 1.04 ERA and a 2-0 record. He also recorded 18 strikeouts and one save.
As a sophomore at Holy Cross he earned second team All-Patriot League accolades. He has also been on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
