John Colella

WORCESTER, Mass. Holy Cross senior outfielder Nick Ciardiello (Edison, N.J.) along with junior pitcher John Pedrotty (Portsmouth, R.I.) and sophomore closer John Colella (Herndon, Va.) have been chosen to represent Holy Cross at the 37th annual NEIBA All-Star Game, held June 2 at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. Ciardiello was named to the first team while Pedrotty and Colella earned second team accolades.

The three Crusaders were picked amongst 25 other players from Division I schools in the region and will represent the University team at the game. Connecticut topped the list with eight selections. The University team will play against the College Division Team, which is made up of 13 Division II standouts and 16 Division III senior all-stars.

LeLacheur Park is home of the Lowell Spinners, a minor league team affiliated with the Boston Red Sox. The gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and tickets will cost five dollars. Due to prior commitments, Ciardiello, Pedrotty and Colella will not play in the game but will still be honored for their achievements.
