Ansel Garvey is in his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at the College of the Holy Cross in 2013-2014. He works on a day-to-day basis as an athletic trainer for the Crusader football and men’s ice hockey teams, in addition to providing support for a number of other varsity sports.
Prior to his time at Holy Cross, Garvey served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Massachusetts for one year, working with the football and softball teams. He also managed travel responsibilities for student assistants and travel equipment for football.
Garvey previously spent time as an intern athletic trainer at Holy Cross during the 2011-2012 school year, working with the volleyball and men’s lacrosse teams.
A member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, he received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Springfield College in 2011. Garvey is on track to earn his master’s degree in kinesiology from Massachusetts in May of 2014.
