Carlos Faria is in his first year as an assistant athletic trainer at the College of the Holy Cross in 2012-2013. He works on a day-to-day basis as an athletic trainer for the Crusader football, men’s basketball and baseball teams, in addition to providing support for a number of other varsity sports.

Prior to his time at Holy Cross, Faria spent time working in the San Francisco Giants organization from February to August of 2012. He served as an athletic trainer for the Giants’ rookie affiliate in the Arizona League, in addition to spending time as a strength and conditioning intern.

Faria previously worked for the Boston Red Sox organization in a number of different capacities in 2010 and 2011. He was the athletic trainer for the Red Sox rookie affiliate in the Dominican Summer League in 2011, after serving as an intern athletic trainer for the Class AAA Pawtucket Red Sox in the spring of 2011. Faria previously served as an intern in both athletic training and strength and conditioning for the Class A Greenville Drive of the South Atlantic League during the 2010 season.

Faria earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Bridgewater State University in 2010. He is on track to receive his master’s degree in physical education from Bridgewater State in December of 2012.
