WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross has named Ray Bolger as its new head equipment manager, as announced by athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Bolger will handle the equipment needs for all 27 of Holy Cross’ varsity athletic teams.
Bolger comes to Holy Cross from John Carroll University, where he served as the assistant director of athletic facilities and equipment for nine years. He was responsible for catering to the needs of the school’s 21 varsity athletic teams, while overseeing the maintenance and operation of the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Sports Center. Bolger’s duties included home game administration, oversight of more than 50 student workers, inventory control, equipment procurement, outside group facilitation and budgeting assistance.
Bolger received his bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology from John Carroll in 2003. He went on to receive a master’s degree in non-profit administration from John Carroll in 2008. Bolger has also been certified as an equipment manager by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
