Ricky Babcock Named Assistant Director Of Athletic Facilities
WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross athletic
department has named Ricky Babcock assistant director of
athletic facilities, it was announced by director of athletics
Nathan Pine. Babcock will be involved with the operations of the
Hart Center and the surrounding athletic fields, in addition to
handling game day event management for several sports.
Babcock comes to Holy Cross from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he served as an events and operations assistant since 2012. He handled facility management, game day management and the operations for several championship events, in addition to being involved with the operations for the 2013 Military Bowl and the 2013 Army-Navy football game.
Prior to his time at Navy, Babcock served as the director of baseball operations at the University of Michigan from 2010-2012. He was in charge of the day-to-day operations of the baseball program, in addition to overseeing the implementation of the team’s annual budget.
Babcock is a 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in educational studies. He was a member of the Panthers’ baseball team for two seasons, before serving as the squad’s director of baseball operations during his final two years and an athletic department intern in his senior year. Babcock is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sports administration at Canisius College.
